Blomdahl System

Wildwood Pediatrics uses the Blomdahl medical ear piercing system. The Blomdahl system is a modern aseptic technique, which means all the products and methods are safely designed to avoid the spreading of infection and exposure to nickel allergy during the piercing process. The sterile method guarantees that the piercing is hygienic and safe.

Procedure

Our comfortable office provides a quiet, private, and calm piercing experience. Our medical staff are trained to perform piercings and will walk you and your child through each step. They can apply numbing cream if desired.

Healing

Blomdahl earrings are not like ordinary earrings. They are specially designed to facilitate quick healing and make it so changing earrings is easy after the healing period. The backs are fixed on the tips of the posts so that they cannot become imbedded in the earlobe and so air can circulate better to help reduce risk of infection. The earrings themselves are either medical plastic or medical grade titanium, which eliminate the risk of developing a nickel allergy.

We will provide aftercare instructions and cleaning products.

Overview
