Welcome to our office!
New relationships begin here.
We are so excited to meet you! Our team at Wildwood Pediatrics is dedicated to providing compassionate and comprehensive care for all patients from newborns to young adults. We actively listen to parents’ concerns, and are committed to educating caregivers to ensure the well-being of every child. With a focus on building lasting, trusting relationships, we strive to create a warm and welcoming environment where families feel at home.
Are we a good fit for your family?
It is important to choose a pediatric office that aligns with your family and your values. We want each patient and family who visits our office to feel comfortable and confident that they are going to be well cared for. Please read through the following to determine if our office would be that type of fit for your family.
We believe in being rooted in kindness.
At its heart, Wildwood Pediatrics was created from the desire to provide expert medical care that is rooted in kindness. We know that when kindness is our top priority, everything else falls into place.
We believe in the power of clear communication.
We aim to provide superior communication during every interaction with our staff and providers. We know this involves not only speaking clearly, but listening attentively to your concerns. Our team values taking the time to both educate patients and caregivers, and learn about their experiences and issues. We want every visit and phone call to end with our patients and families feeling heard and that the medical care of each child is a collaborative effort.
We create a welcoming and judgement-free environment.
At Wildwood Pediatrics, we do not tolerate discrimination of any kind. We strive to provide a safe and understanding environment for all families, because we know that every family is unique! We celebrate diversity of all kinds and our office is a safe space for LGBTQ+ patients and families.
We value evidence-based medicine.
We strive to educate ourselves on the newest studies and medical advancements as they develop. We deeply value the ongoing science of medicine, and by utilizing evidence-based medicine, we can ensure we are providing the best care for our patients. We do not pretend to have every answer, but promise to work diligently with you to find the best path forward. We believe that education is a life-long process of learning.
Immunizations save lives.
We understand that choosing whether or not to vaccinate is a deeply personal decision. At Wildwood Pediatrics, we do require our patients to vaccinate according to the CDC schedule, unless medically contraindicated on a case by case basis. We believe in partnering with parents to make decisions that are best to protect their children. Please see our policies page for more information.
Antibiotics must be used responsibly.
We strongly believe in using antibiotics responsibly, and endeavor to only use them when a bacterial infection is present. We do not prescribe them without thorough examination and any necessary testing. Antibiotics do not help in instances of viral infections, and may cause unintended side effects when overused or used inappropriately.
We believe in supporting parents.
We support parents in all stages of parenthood, understanding each new milestone brings new challenges. We’re here for you every step of the way, and firmly believe there is no question that is too insignificant or silly to ask. Our job is to provide support and guidance.
We are available when you need us.
We strive to provide timely medical care by prioritizing same-day sick appointments. Additionally, Dr. Palfreeman is available 24/7 to address his patients’ urgent medical issues over the phone that cannot wait until the next business day. As a parent himself, he knows that kids usually don’t wait until business hours to get sick or injured!
Our Pediatrician
Dr. Palfreeman is the founder of Wildwood Pediatrics. He created our pediatric clinic with the goal to cultivate a friendly, welcoming environment where children and caregivers are treated with kindness, listened to, and given exceptional medical care.
